One day His Majesty Gaïnde the Lion
called a meeting for all the animals of the savannah. Everyone came except
Bukki the Hyena. The King began to speak.
“My dear friends, the order of the day is to identify the naughtiest
animal, who will then be eaten by the others.”Right away, Golo the Monkey
started to cry. The lion asked,
“Why do you cry, my friend?”
“I am sad about losing my friend Bukki, because he is the naughtiest,”
he replied. Bukki the Hyena arrived and Gaïnde the Lion explained the
agenda. Bukki immediately asked,
“But where is Golo the Monkey? It’s a shame that he has no chance
of surviving.” Gaïnde the Lion got up and went to them, saying,
“Golo, everyone knows you are clever but temperamental. And Bukki, you
are spiteful and unintelligent. We are going to eat both of you.”
