Regional Challenges : The village is highly inaccessible. You must take a boat to the village – the boat makes this trip one time per week. You can access the village via motor bike, but the roads are terrible.

Recent Community Initiatives : There has been extensive damage to the buildings in the region as a result of the civil war. There have been strong community initiatives to reconstruct and repair the damage done to their homes, other buildings and infrastructure.
